Settlers Dried Beef Mince can be enjoyed by itself, or combined with other fresh ingredients, or combined with dry packaged foods and hydrated to produce delicious nutritious meals.

Settlers Dried Beef Mince Pie for 4-6 people
- 2 x 125 gram satchels of Settlers Dried Beef Mince or Settlers Country Casserole.
- I pack of dehydrated peas and carrots.
- 400 grams of pasta
- 1 shepherds pie mix
- tomato sauce
Method
- Add Settlers Dried Beef Mince or Settlers Country Casserole, peas and carrots in pot with water and leave for about 15 minutes.
- Bring to boil and allow to simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Now add the shepherds pie mix and the tomato sauce to taste. Stir thoroughly and add to pre-cooked pasta.
Settlers Dried Beef Mince and Rice for 2-3 people
- 1 sachet of Settlers Dried Beef Mince
- I cup of rice
Method
- Add Settlers Dried Beef Mince with 375 ml of water and simmer for about 8 minutes.
- Boil rice with water for about 8 minutes.
- Place rice on plate and add mince.
Variations: Other ingredients can also be added either fresh or dehydrated. Onions, capsicums (green or red), corn, snow pees, curries and any other ingredients available.
Rice Sate for 3 people
- One 125 gram satchel of Settlers Dried Beef Mince.
- 1 pack Sate rice.
- I cup frozen peas.
Method
- Place one cup of water in a bowl and add all ingredients. Add more water as you see fit.
- Cook for about 8 minutes and allow to sit for five minutes be fore eating.
Mexican Mix for 3 people
- One 125 gram satchel of Settlers Dried Beef Mince.
- 1 pack Taco mix.
- I bottle of tomato pasta sauce.
- I can red kidney beans.
- I can corn nibblets.
Method
- Add all ingredients to a bowl and add water to desired consistency. Should not be sloppy.
- Cook for about 8 minutes and allow to sit for 5 minutes before eating. More tomato sauce can be added if desired.
Thai Green Curry for 3 people
- One 125 gram satchel of Settlers Dried Beef Mince.
- 1 teaspoon dried garlic.
- 3 tabs curry powder.
- ½ pack frozen peas.
- 1 tablespoon beef stock powder.
- 2 chopped onions.
- 1 can coconut milk.
Method
- Brown onions and add all other ingredients. Add water as desired and bring to boil. Simmer for about 8 minutes. Allow to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
Note: Curry powder can be varied according to taste.
